Alysha's Graduation

Saturday afternoon we headed to Gruene to celebration ,my cousin, Alysha's graduation from Texas State!

Alysha

The whole family plus some of her friends meet up at the Gristmill for some yummy grub and cold drinks.

Of course we had to wait awhile for a table for 29!!! But it gave everyone time to visit. The Gristmill has an awesome shaded area outside we all gather in which was also great for all the little girls. It was also Gruene Hall's 35th anniversary so they had live music playing the whole time which made for some good background noise!

Grandma and Haley

Alysha and her proud Aunt Debbie (aka Grams or Mom)

Jennifer and me

Danita and Kyle

Kyle, Ryan, and Milt hanging out

We finally got our table and continue the festivities inside.

Our two tables!!!

The girls were extremely well behaved given the four hours we were there but of course decided to act silly when it was picture time.

Taylor, cousin Avery, and Kendall

Last but not least my personal favorite of all of them is this.

Jennifer, Papa, and me

Papa is one of my MOST favorite people on Earth. I love him way more than words can explain. I think it is a fabulous picture of all of us.

Congrats Alysha I am so proud of you and can't wait for you to start this next chapter of your life!

Preschool Graduation Program

Kendall had her Preschool Graduation program today at school! They started by singing a bunch of songs (and I mean 30 minutes worth) with hand movements. I was totally impressed with all the kids they did such a great job of singing and remembering the motions but mostly with Kendall! At all of her other programs at school she would get really shy and not participate fully but not this time. She sang every word to every song, never missed a beat, and did it was a smile the whole time.

After that her teacher, Mrs. McKinney, called each child's name and they came up to get their diploma.

I'm so proud!

I am truly amazed everyday at how much Kendall knows and what she is learning. I couldn't be happier with her school and know she is going to do great next year in Kindergarten.

Her whole class

Kendall's bestie at school (who I hear about everyday) is Havi and she couldn't wait to take a picture with.

So sweet

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day morning, Kendall and Taylor presented me with their crafts that they had made a school and a really nice card (thanks Daddy) and Ryan gave me a sweet cards as well and a Garmin Forerunner Watch!!!

I have had my heart and eye on this watch since I started running last year. My neighbor, Amy, got me into this whole running thing and she has one. We were suppose to train to run the San Antonio Rock n Rock Marathon last year together but the first day of training she found out she was pregnant! Needless to say she was out but I continued and she was kind enough to let me borrow the watch for training and the marathon and I have wanted one ever since. Back to Mother's Day-

Then we headed to downtown New Braunfels to meet my wonderful mother for brunch. We meet at Red Rooster Cafe which is full of unique stuff. The girls were in a super silly mood and weren't being cooperative when it came to taking pictures so this is the best I got!

Kendall, Grams, and Taylor

Then we headed home for a family nap! Followed by some jewelry making and a trip to Cups and Cones- out favorite ice cream spot here!

It was really nice, relaxing day. Thanks G for making me feel so loved and special!

To my mom- thanks for always being there to listen to me talk about who knows what, for a shoulder (or phone) to cry on, to continuously give me advise (whether I want it or not), and someone to look up as a mom and also as a woman. I hope that I can be as fabulous as you are! I love you!

Boat Day!

On Sunday we headed over to The Rodriguez's house to go out on their new boat! If you don't know Taylor is in love with boats. She tells us all the time that she is going to buy a boat (keep saving girl!) and points them out every time she sees them. Needless to saw the girls were super excited. At first we just cruised around the lake and every time we would go over a wave Kendall would just belly laugh, it was super cute!

All deck out and ready to go!

Taylor insisted on wearing her swimsuit coverup on over her lifejacket so she looked like a marshmellow!

After a while we anchored and everyone but me got in the water. The water temp was only 74 which is a little to cool but my winnie butt.

At first the girls just hung on to the boat or Ryan and poor Carly. They haven't been swimming since last summer so they were timid.

Taylor and Daddy

Kendall and Carly

Having so much fun!

Soon the girls were like little fish swimming all over the place by themselves and the adults could enjoy a tasty beverage!

Ryan and Joe

Thanks Carly and Joe for a wonderful afternoon out! We all had a blast and can't wait to do it again.

Festival

Last Saturday we headed out with the Huston's to a Festival (sorry I forgot the name of it) in Round Rock. Rachel's sister was in town so we got hang with her and her adorable two boys as well.

There were rides for the kids to ride.

Finley and Kendall

Cade and Taylor

I think Taylor had a little crush on Cade! She wanted to ride all the rides with him!

Then Bob Schneider put on a little concert. I had never seen or heard him before but he was great!

Daddy and Taylor enjoying the good music!

During the concert the kids started to get a little tired (it was also very hot) so Rachel and I decided to take all the kids (except Dane) to get their face painted.

Finley, Cade, Kendall, and Taylor

While we were waiting for all of them to get done Rach and I had a great idea to paint each other!

Great times, great friends, and good music!

Kindergarten!!!

Today we (all four us) headed to River Ridge Elementary to registered Kendall for Kindergarten! The school just opened up this year so I was excited to see in the inside (being a nosey teacher myself) and meet some of the teachers. Kendall is a little nervous about going to a new school next year so I was anxious for her to get to take a look around. Let's just say this school is amazing! It has all the bells and whistle that it could possible have. We got to take a tour of the school and see the gym, cafeteria, library, music room, art room, theatre arts room, and the kindergarten neighborhood (where all the classrooms are). The cafeteria and library were her favorites. I am definitely a little sad about having a kindergartner but really excited to start this new part of the journey.

From this (I don't have a digital picture from birth)

To this!

I am so proud of the little girl she is turning into. I love you more than anything.

Courtesy Queen- Taylor!

So this week Taylor was named Courtesy Queen of her class!

Here is a picture of Taylor and Mrs. Soloman!

I won't go into all the details about Courtesy Queen since just a couple of weeks ago I did with Kendall but we were so excited for her. Taylor is a super sweet little girl but can be subborn as mule as well. I am going to try and upload the video of her teacher talking about Taylor, if you listen her teacher makes a comment about her "listening almost everyday"! It makes me laugh- I know as a teacher it probably isn't funny but I understand it completely because she listens almost everyday at home as well.
