We met at Baylor our freshman year but didn't become friends until right before our Junior year and have been together ever since. We got engaged in Jamaica in March 2001 and married in June 2002. We spent the first six years in The Woodlands and had both of our girls there, bought our first two homes, and made it home. Then we spent the next 9 months in Beaumont (we got out of there as fast as we could). In August of 2008 we moved to Austin and have made it home. Bought our fourth home (and hopefully our last for a long while) and have loved it since we got here.
Mondy night we met Mimi, Poppy, and their friends from out of town at the steakhouse for dinner.
My beautiful girls
These two came with me to run some errands after school on Tuesday. Good golly they are crazy and their outfits kill me.
Thursday I had volleyball carpool.
I love carpool days hearing all their stories, questions, and laughs.
This practice was all about team bonding. We met at a restaurant called Red's Porch. Our team mom is awesome and prepared lots of games for them, including this volleyball Easter basket.
Eclipse 12 Black
Friday we attended a crawfish boil. This is the only picture I took 😜
Saturday the girls helped out at Mavi's candy themed birthday party.
Saturday we invited some friends to join us at Dell Match Play! I had never been out before but Ryan had been out there all week with customers at a tent.
The course is along Lake Austin and is gorgeous
We were right on Hole 15 and I'm not going to even pretend that I know who that is but some pro golfer 😜
It was hot and Ryan found the air vent inside the tent!
Ryan and I have lived in Austin for 9 years and never been down to SXSW until this year. Holy mackel is it fantastic people watching!
This guy is nothing compared to some others!
We had tickets to The Roots show with some friends but while we were standing in line the show got called off. There was a bomb threat so for safety reason it was canceled, obviously. We all walked around a bit and ended up at Fukumoto eatting sushi for the next few hours.
The weather has been so off and on that the girls took advantage after school!
I have a feeling summer time will look alot like this.
Everything is better with bacon, right?!
Ryan's dinner creation!
Chicken breast stuffed with guacmole and wrapped in bacon!
Dinner is served! It was amazing!
Kendall and I took a walk on day and ended up at the park by the lake. It was a beautiful day!
Volleyball carpool is always full of smiles, laughs, and good stories!
Friday Kendall went on the boat with Brayden's family
Taylor wanted to go on a hike so we picked a trail and off we went. It started off great but somehow we ended up off the trail and in one of the neighborhoods. Needless to say, 2 hours and almost 5 miles we ended back up at the car.
She immediately jumped in the pool to cool off which is COLD!
Marley and I joined in on the sidelines
Next up on Taylor's to do list was County Line.
The fish are ginormous! The turtles are the best!
On our way back home we picked up Kendall and Brayden and some of their friends trickled in to hang out.
We headed to San Antonio a day early so we could make sure and see everyone while we were there. We met Jennifer and the girls for a little shopping first.
Then headed to Papa's, it was beautiful outside. I love this tree!
Papa wanted Italian food for dinner so after convincing him there were better choices than Olive Garden! He wanted to go to this restaurant called La Sorrentina on the other side of town! I called to make sure they would have a table for 11 when we got there and good thing I did becasue there were only about 10 tables in the entire place!
Alison loves her some Snapchat!
The fam bam!
Papa and all his great granddaughters
Love him!
Mama Edson and the girls
Twinning in their new shirts
Here is the tiny place, the food was delicious!
WEDNESDAY
We headed to Boerne to go stay with Nanaw and Popeye
Nanaw took us around the property to show us all the dead deer they have been finding, it was gross and sad. Taylor didn't think so, she was more interested in collecting them all.
We took a trip to the dollor store to get some St. Patrick's Day supplies for the celebration at the nursing home the next day. Taylor was super excited for her outfit that she picked up, she wore it for the rest of the day.
The girls wondered down to the creek and collected minows (or tadpoles I am not real sure).
The creek was down some but they spent hours there messing around in it.
Nanaw came down to check on them in her nice outfit with a cup of coffee (that she spilled all over the palce) found herself a walking stick and marched up and down the creek like nothing. Crazy lady!
Popeye gave us a ride up to feed the deer
Spreading corn (aka throwing corn around like maniacs)
The girls were suppose to be going to sleep, Jennifer and I went up to get ready to go to bed and next thing you know there is a FULL on dance party happening in my room. We were crying laughing so hard at them and their dancing!
THURSDAY
We got up and all dressed in green and headed to the nursing home!
The Leprechauns
The girls did such a great good serving and interacting, Avery and Taylor even got up and sang some karaoke! Everyone seemed to have a great time.
We met mom for lunch after at The Rustic. It was such a neat place
The girls took advantage of all the great photo opps
After lunch the girls and I headed home, that's a wrap SA!
