Friday Night Fun

Friday night we went to Kobe Steakhouse to eat. The girls seriously didn't say more than 10 words the whole time we were there because they were to busy watching the chef and looking at all the other tables. It was fun and the food is always really good.

After that we headed to the Stars Hockey Game! I haven't been to a hockey game in at least 12 years and the girls have never been so we were all looking forward to it. Our tickets were right next to the glass so we got an up close and personal look at the players and the game.

Every time one of the players would come and ram into the glass we would all jump out of our seats.

It was a super fun family night!

Love is in the air!

I decorated the table for the girls on Valentine's morning.  The bags were a treat from Grams, they had new Valentine socks to wear, cards from Mommy & Daddy, Mimi & Poppy Nanaw & Popeye, and Grams!  They are loved.

The two balloons hanging down had their present inside with a few pieces of candy.

I didn't take a picture of the cards on their plates so this is one from the Internet.  They had a great time popping them!

For breakfast I made one of their favorites Monkey Bread, strawberries, and strawberry milk.

Off to school

Taylor being goofy.

For lunch they had raspberry covered pretzels, tomatoes, red Doritos, a heart shaped sandwich, and pink juice.

Next up was Valentine class parties, I got lucky this time and the girls parties were at different times.

First up was Taylor's.  They made a heart man, played M&M bingo, had snacks

and opened up their Valentine's

Next up was Kendall's party.  Hers was short and sweet.  They decorated cookies, played bingo

and opened up their cards.

Heart shaped pizza with heart pepperonis and heart shaped ravioli were for dinner of course!

We finished the day by reading the last couple of Valentine books.  It was a super busy fun day filled with lots of red, pink, hearts, and love!

Over my head

My obsession with Pinterest combined with the girls being super excited about Valentine's Day this year put my creative juices in over drive. It started with the girls and I making valentine cards for their classmates. Kendall picked out these Starburst ones and Taylor picked out "you rock" ones. She is into guitars right now.

We stapled Pop Rocks on the back on hers.

Next up was Taylor's valentines box. Grams was in town this weekend so Taylor and her had a good time covering and decorating her box.

Last up was Kendall's box . I some how volunteered to make these frog boxes for her WHOLE class (that is 23 plus one for her teacher which makes 24)! K's teachers' name starts with an F and her room is decorated with frogs so frog boxes was a perfect fit. One of the teachers at my school makes these for her class so I showed them to K's teacher and from there I was now making 24 of them. Thank goodness my mom was in town, she was a huge help cutting the cereal boxes, painting them green, and then adding all the details. It was definitely a process that took way longer than I thought but they turned out super cute and all the kids loved them.

Here is Kendall's box

and ALL the rest of them!

I think we are ready from Tuesday now!

Mardi Gras Masquerade Dance

Friday at the girls school they had a family fun night themed Mardi Gras Masquerade. I honestly hadn't planned on going my mom was coming in and Friday nights I am usually pretty tired from the week but the girls really wanted to go so we went!

They had masks that you could decorate!

Taylor modeling hers!

In the gym they had a DJ playing music. All the kids were dancing and running around having a blast! The gym teachers had taught the kids a few line dances (the cha cha slide, the chicken dance, and the macarena). I had a really hard time keeping track of them with so many kids and the running around every where.

The girls had a great time, it was a fun family evening!
