Marathon Kids!!!

Since September the girls and I have been spending an hour after school with around 52 other Kinder kids (plus all the other grades also) running a mile and learning about nutrition. The goal was to run 26.2 miles over 6 months! I volunteered to be one of the Kinder Coaches and it has truly been so much fun getting to know all the others kids and running with them.

Kendall, Allie, and Taylor getting ready to start

This Saturday was the final mile! All the kids from the area met at a stadium and ran the final mile together.

It was awesome to see so many families and kids there- literally there was a couple of thousand! Right as we crossed the finish line they presented them with a metal!

Drew (Allie's twin), Taylor, Allie, and Kendall showing off their medals!

I had told Taylor ahead of time that she probably won't get a medal since she is not in school yet but they let her have one. I was really excited because she has been there running every week so she deserved one also.

Taylor getting her medal

Then just like a real marathon we walked through all the vendors there that were giving away all kinds of freebies! The girls loaded up and were super excited and proud.

Love is in the Air

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

We have been busy making home made Valentine Day cards for all our grandparent's and Daddy, cupcakes for both classes, chocolate covered straweberries and pretzels for teacher gifts!

Taylor ready for her school party.

Kendall ready for school and her class party!

Love her pose :)

Roller Skating!!

So, Taylor was invited to a birthday party at a roller skating rink! I was super excited the girls had never been roller skating and I remember how much fun I use to have at birthday parties skating.

Taylor and the birthday girl!

We got to the rink, said hi to the birthday girl, got our skates, put them on, and headed to the rink! OMGOODNESS- my arms were killing me in about 10 minutes from holding both of them up! I thought they would get the hang pretty quickly since they did at ice skating (and that is one thin blade) but it took them some time.

They spent a lot of time on their hinnys!

After awhile.....

We got it!

I'm a little wobbly!

We had a really fun time skating and hanging out with friends (and a good arm work out)!

Happy 5th Birthday Miss C!

Snow Day!!!!

No I didn't copy this picture from another website- it really snowed here!!!

The girls were so excited so wake up and see all the snow (and when I say "all the snow" I mean the whole 2 or 3 inches we got).

Trying to make a snowball.

Kendall making a snow angel in the driveway! I love the look on her face.

Snow angels!

Taylor eating the snow.

She seriously ate snow all day (yes I know that it is gross but I couldn't stop her), everytime she went outside she grabbed a handful and eat it.
