Last week of school!

Holy cow, I can't believe it is the last week of school!  This year has FLOWN by.

Tuesday, I went to pick up Marley and she cried.  So I started feeling around and found a spot that she was extremely tender on and I could feel a pretty good size bump so off to the vet we go.  They initial thought she might have thrown her back out jumping but after shaving the exact spot they discovered that she had been bitten by a snake.  They don't think it was venous or that the venom didn't get inside her.  We loaded her up with some antibiotics and pain killers for the discomfort.  It drained some nasty stuff for the next couple of days but she is good as new!

Wednesday, I met Jade and Kristina at Soul and lunch.

Ainsley's graduation was on Wednesday so Kendall went with Brayden and his family.

After they hit the lake!

I had to snap a picture of the girls on Thursday morning together for their "last day of school" pic because Taylor was spending the night at Grayln's house tonight.

 7th & 8th Grade

Taylor and I went on one last coffee run before school

After school we had to do some vacation prep- mani's and pedi's of course!

Then Taylor was off to Gralyn's for the Girly Pops sleepover
Ella, G, Julia, Alex, Taylor, Cici, Dani, Sophie, and Kylie

Last day of 8th grade

The girls have gone to Coffee Bean before school for the last three years.
Ella, Faith, Ava, Breanna, Kendall, and Brooklyn
They all wore Hawaiian shirts this year- again no clue why!

So crazy how much they have grown

Last day of 7th grade- they all (most) wore some kind of Disney shirt
I have no idea why

It is officially SUMMER!!!!

Taylor had a birthday party after school.
I went over to the Buchanan's to hang out with all the 8th graders.

I went to pick up Taylor from the party and somehow ended up with 8 girls in my car.

And then in my pool-these girls are water babies

Let the no schedule, late nights, sleeping in, craziness begin!!

Another CRAZY busy week....

Another day another banquet!
Sunday was Taylor's AJV volleyball banquet.

This is has been the best club volleyball season we have had, yet.  The coach was fantastic with the girls but pushed them to met his expectations.  Her team mates quickly became really good friends who all supported each other.  The parents were great, thank goodness because we spent ALOT of time together at practice and tournaments.  Taylor made some big improvements in the game as well.  Her love for the sport is really showing.

Taylor, Maddie, Claire, Bella, Rachel, Holly, Keagan, and Penny

Of our the girls parents own a limo business so they drove the girls to the banquet!

13TORO
They received Team of the Year Honorable Mention!

The girls go almost every evening on a golf cart ride to visit their "friends".  Just pasted our neighborhood is a street that has some livestock- longhorns, donkeys (the girls have named him Kevin), cows, horses, etc and they love to go down there.  One night they wanted me to go with them and I snapped this pic.

Mars had to come too, she loves riding on the golf cart!

Wednesday I got the girls out of school a bit early to drive to San Antonio.  Grams retired in December after 32 years of teaching and her retirement ceremony was this evening.  I told her we weren't going to be able to make it since it was a school night and honesty driving to and from SA didn't sound appealing but I know that we should be there for her on her special night.  She has and does so much for us that I wanted to be there.  She was super happy when we walked in and surprised her!

Jennifer made the trip in, as well.

Papa with his greats

One of my all time favorite humans EVER- love this guy!

So proud of you mom, now enjoy the next chapter of your life!

They can get on each others nerves and fight like the best of them but at the end of the day they truly are friends and I pray they always are.

Thursday we were back at the sand courts for practice.

They do 30 minutes of conditioning each practice.  Which is great except they literally are rolling around in the sand and then get in my car!  I had sand EVERYWHERE, it looks like my car is a rolling sand court!  I don't think I will have a clean car the entire summer!

This time of year is exhausting with so much going on but I am trying to soak it all in and enjoy each thing as I know it is just a season that we are in and one day I will miss it.

8th grade P A R T Y!

8th grade P A R T Y!!!

I got roped into helping plan the 8th grade party this year.  It actually wasn't bad and the moms had fun doing it.  Our school doesn't do anything for the 8th graders- no award ceremony, graduation, nada!  So a few years back a group of moms started this tradition and I love it!

Everyone looks so nice all dressed up

Taylor, Kendall, Lauren, Breana, Ella, and Ava

 Brayden and Kendall

We had cotton candy, flavored popcorn, food, drinks, a DJ, a huge checkers game, a slide show going, and 350 kids just hang out visit, dance, eat and have a great time!

The moms had to get in on the fun too!

I didn't take many photos since I was running around but once it got dark the kids danced like crazy!

We was a great night celebrating them!

Taylor met some friends up there for dinner so she snuck over for a quick pic!

On to HIGH SCHOOL!!
