Hall of Fame

Saturday we drove to Pearland because Papa was getting an award at the Texas BMX Hall of Fame. 

My mom is the oldest of five and all five of them were coming, which doesn't happen often since one of them live in Arizona.

It was a long trip to make in one day but I am really glad that we went, it meant a lot to him that we were there and me too.

Austin Day of Fun

We meet up with some good friends The Caswell's for a day of fun.  

We played at Zilker.

Took a ride on the train and cooled off with some snow cones ,

Had lunch a Shady Grove

and then did some canoeing!

The girls had need canoed before but did really well.

My arms felt like jello after canoeing for an hour and being the only one who was really paddling.

It was a super fun day outside even through it felt like it was 200 degrees.

Meet L'Rod

 Meet L'Rod or better known as Aiden Joseph as of August 1, 2012!

Carly (my bestie, my person, and my family photog) and her hubbie welcome him, 5 days later than expected!

I was on pins and needles anxiously awaiting his arrival, my phone was glued to my sided!  Finally at 9:30 pm on Tuesday evening I got a text that she was in active labor and I could come to the hospital!  I drove as fast (and safely) as I could but he made us all wait a while longer.  I sat in the hospital from 9:45pm till almost 6 am (the longest wait ever!) to meet him but it was worth every minute.  I was so incredible happy for both them that someone that they had prayed for for so long had finally come.  I couldn't help but get a little emotional, I was just over come with love and happiness as I meet with for the first time.  I couldn't stay long because Ryan was leaving at 6:30 am to go to San Antonio and I had his car and the girls were at home but I got to come back and hold him and give him some love later in the day!

It was so tiny!

The girls were so excited to finally meet him as well, that a few days after they got to go home we went for a quick visit.

Destin Part 3

On our last full day we played hard all day at the beach and the pool. Then we got all cleaned up to head over to The Wharf to have dinner and play this is how I found the girls when it was time to leave!

 Next up was the ropes course, Kendall was super brave and tried it and Taylor decided to sit this one out.

This girls got some serious muscles. 

Then they did the eurobungy.  One of the favorites.

Daddy got in on the fun too with alittle golf challenge.

And he won both of them!!!  Go Daddy!

They had a big pond in the middle with two tower on each end and a zipline going across.  Taylor decided she wanted to do it so I joined her for this adventure.  You got to go twice one over and then back to the side that you started on.  We got all geared up and climbed to the top together and then she wanted me to go first.  So I gave her a kiss and said "see you on the other side"!

And off I went

At the top of the tower they just had a little landing that you walked right off.  As I got to the other side and waited for her, I was really nervous that she wouldn't do it

And the next thing I see is her flying across the sky!

I was so proud of her, it was high and fast.  She loved it!

So we did it again!

Ryan was taking pictures but it was hard since it was high and we were moving but you can the blue blur, that is Taylor.

It was an awesome evening of good family fun.

We weren't done yet.  We still had some crabbing hunting to do.

This year the crabs were tiny so it was alot harder to see them.

You can see them crawling up the side of the bucket.  I think we ended up with 6 or 7.

Finally it was bedtime, 5 o'clock was going to come super early to get up and get on the road back home but it was the perfect ending to our family vacation.

Sandestin- Part Two

The next day we met up with some neighborhood friends who happen to be staying at the resort next door and just a quick walk down the beach.

It was also N's birthday so we did alot of swimming, laying out, and chatting!

The three girlies had a blast boogie boarding, jumping waves, and swimming like little fish.

They were in their own world for hours just hanging out in the water.  N and I said we wish could hear what they were talking about for so long.

The next day was filled with playing in the sand,

relaxing in the shade, 

swimming in the ocean, Ryan and Taylor,

looking for shells,

burying Kendall in the sand,

making sand cookies, and

more sand cookies!
