January flew by

Sunday selfie on the way to church with Taylor.  That evening Greyson came in and Ryan made dinner for us, the boys had tomahawks and they were insanely big.

 

Someone has been a stage 5 clinger since I got home.

Taylor has had 4 ear infections in the last few months so I made an appointment for an ENT to make sure nothing was going on.  Her hearing is perfect, even if she acts like she can't hear me half the time.  Kendall made a quick trip in to get her nails and brows done, ridiculous I know so Taylor and her meet Riley for dinner before she headed back to school.

Time in Waco!

Met this cutie after school at Trader Joe's to do some shopping.

 

Wednesday I drove to Waco to spend the afternoon with Kendall.  We met McKenya (one of her good girlfriends) and grabbed some lunch, went to Spice for alittle shopping, and then went and hung out in her dorm for a bit.  That evening we went to the Baylor Club for dinner with Kate and Corrine.  Love that you can eat with an amazing view of the stadium.  Then I drove to the lake for the night THEN Taylor facetimes us and she opened her acceptance email from Baylor!!!!!  Such a great day!! 

The next day was stormy, gloomy, and gross.  I did some cleaning out and organzing at the lake, did some work, and Kendall's laundry that she sent back with me.  I drove back in to Waco after she was done with class.  We ate at this amazing mediterranean resturant, the best greek salad I think I have ever had! We stopped at Milk Bottle Cookies to test them out, they were good- not the best I have had but still yummy.   Dropped her back off at her dorm and got a big hug.  

Ryan came and met me at the lake for the night.  Then Saturday he picked up Kendall and they went to basketball game which went to triple over time!!!

This is not even all of it!

Kendall headed back to Waco on Sunday.  Classes don't start till Tuesday but bad weather is in the forecast and it gives her time to unpack, see her friends, and do whatever she needs/wants before classes start.

On Wednesday's we were pink!  We went to see the new Mean Girl movie, which was pretty good.  The outfits and makeup were awful but the message was good.  Friday I met my mom at the outlet malls.  We did some shopping and then went to San Marcos and had lunch at Root Cellar.  It was a great afternoon catching up.  

We got an updated picture of the progress at the lake.  The dirt work is done and they have framed it for foundation.  Starting to finally look like the start of a house.

Saturday, we went to the Baylor/UT game.  It was a close game the entire time.  We were tied and they made a layup with no time left on the clock.  It was crazy and so sad.  That evening Ryan and I went to the Grayln memorial.  Crazy that it has been a year but also such a great reminder to live each day to the fullest.

Snow Globe or Park City??

 Last full day and it was another day with a high of 16, non stop snowing, and winds up to 40MPH!

Needlessly to say we were on the mountain by 9 ready to go.   We took a couple of runs, then made a pit stop for a snack and to warm up, then headed back out.

We took a wrong run and ended back at the bottom of the mountain so we stopped for lunch and to thaw out.  After lunch we recreated a fun pic of Greyson and I holding Taylor upside down!  They convinced me to go on a black with them and it was a SUPER long one!  Pretty sure all three of us wiped out at least once on it but we made it! 

After that run I headed down the mountain and let Greyson and Taylor finish out the day.  I camped out by the firepit and watched for them to come down and finish out.

Apparently we were super hungry when we ordered dinner and only put a small dent in it but it was yummy.  After dinner we went back and got in comfy clohtes and played a seriously competitve game of Crazy 8! It was so much fun!  

So glad Taylor talked us into going, it was a cold trip but a really fun!

Let's go skiing!!

 A few days ago, literally, we booked a last minute trip to Park City to go skiing.  Taylor really wanted to go, flights and lodging were available, so we made it happen.  Kendall decided she didn't want to go so Greyson, Taylor, and I packed up and headed out.  Our flight out was over half empty so I scored an entire row to myself!

We got there, hopped in an uber to the lodge, checked in, groceries got delivered and put away, our skis and boards got delivered, and we were set!  That evening we went into the village to have dinner.  Then came back and went to bed early to be ready for tomorrow!

We hit the slopes right when they opened and it was 16 DEGREES and snowing!  It snowed all day on us,  It has been 2 years since Taylor and I skiied and a few more for Greyson but everyone had no problems picking it right back up.  We took one run after another and just kept going.  We stopped for lunch on the mountain and then headed right back out for more.

We skiied until the lifts closed and then headed back to the lodge to shower, rest, and get ready for dinner.  We went into downtown Park City and had dinner.  Then we walked to the No Name Saloon had a drink but we were pretty tired from skiing all day so headed back and called it a night.
