Where do you go?

Where did February go?  It seriously feels like it just started and now it is over.

Sunday we took our new boat out for its first ride on the lake!

We drove it all the way to Hula Hut and had lunch and Greyson met us there (he was coming back to Austin from out of town with a friend) and cruised back.

Being on the late at sunset is so peaceful and pretty especially this time of year when the lake is not crowded.

President's Day means no school and a lazy slow start to the day.
Sometimes these two are kind to each other.

Kendall is taking a class called Ready, Set, Teach and today was their first day going to RPE for an in person experience and I got a selfie of Eloise and her on the bus!

I played 13 holes of golf with Ann on Thursday and it wasn't awful!
Don't get me wrong I am not ready to actually play and it was great but better.

It was only Taylor and I for dinner to we hit up one of our favorite hole in wall for some delicious Pho and this is what I got when I tried to take a pic of her.

Ryan was in Chicago for some meetings and annual awards.
His branch received Center of the Year for the 4th year in a row.
So proud of him and his team for all the success and hard work!
Well deserved!

Saturday John and Grams came in for a visit!!!

My beautiful Momma

Taylor had a physics project that involved painting on a canvas, I'm not sure exactly what a painting of a shark and physics have to do with each other but she sure did have a good time doing it.

Kendall came home from work and wanted to paint so we pulled a piece of poster board out and she said she was the next Bob Ross!  Haha!

The Stockyards!

Ryan planned alittle getaway for us.  He didn't tell me where and what we were doing until the day before we left.

Had to make a Buc-ee's stop!
I was actually impressive that he only used a basket instead of a cart and didn't fill it up!
This guy loves him some Buc-ee's

Our hotel

Was SO pretty!

Of course it had a boot station in the room.

Very rustic glam

After we checked in we took off walking to explore, crazy enough Ryan had never been here before and it had been ages since I have.

We walked around, did some shopping, people watching, had a drink, and did some more shopping.
The area is so clean and pretty but some of the areas do smell really bad (animal poop).

We went back to the hotel to change clothes and freshen up then headed to dinner.

We stopped in The White Elephant- all these hats were over the dance floor.

Huge cases of white elephants

Then we walked over to Billy Bob's for the Clay Walker concert!

I forgot how many good songs he has.  He played and we sang for almost two hours!

This place is massive with eight million things going on but such great energy.

On our walk back to the hotel

The next morning we slept in and then grab some breakfast at The Biscuit Bar.
So cute and yummy!

Such a great getaway!  We stopped on the way home at the Baylor bookstore and grabbed some new things for everyone.

Meanwhile, Kendall and her girlfriends went out downtown and all looked so pretty!

SO COLD!!!

School was closed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday due to the weather!  It was SO COLD!  We didn't get any snow but tons of ice.  You can hear the poor trees just snapping when you go outside.  The last few days the weather was cold but not bad but there were so many areas that didn't have electricity.  We lost electricity Thursday morning around 5:15 and it didn't come back on till around 9 that evening.

Super thankful for our fireplace, Marley is also a HUGE fan!

We even used it to warm up some breakfast kolaches!

We didn't do anything for those four days but just chill.
Saturday morning Taylor and I went to Greyson's lacrosse game.

Then Ryan picked up our NEW boat!  She is so pretty!
Can't wait to get her on the water.

Twinning with girl on the way to her derm appointment.

Another picture of Taylor taking a nap and you know that Marley is going to join!

I got a rare one on one dinner date with Kendall.
Cherishing any time I get with her this year.

Friday Taylor drove out to Dripping Springs and had dinner with Greyson's family before going to his game.

Saturday Taylor and her girlfriends throw Alex a surprise birthday party!
She was truly shocked when she came in, she could not stop smiling and laughing.
