Madison Invasion

We were so happy that our good friends The Madison's were able to make a trip to Austin to for the weekend.

The girls were super excited to see each other (as always) and have a slumber party in the play room!

Saturday we just hung out at the house, played in the backyard, colored the drive way with lots of pretty chalk pictures, and made a trip to the park.

Kendall, Mal, and Taylor

What they look like with no prompting!

Then with some begging!

Mal, Kendall, Morgan, and Taylor

Unfortunately I didn't a picture of the man of the house Mr. Case or the adults but next time for sure. Thanks for coming and playing it was fun times as always.

Baylor Pitstop

On the way home we made a quick pit stop in Waco. The first stop was George's for some yummy lunch.

Next stop was campus to see the Bears and pick up some new Baylor gear!

Avery had never been to campus so the girls were super excited to introduce Joy and Lady to her. Unfortunately they were curled up together in one of their dens so they weren't to friendly.

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center

Wednesday we woke up super early, grabbed some breakfast, and headed to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center for a guided safari tour!

We grabbed our cup of food and hopped on our bus

I will spare you pictures of the 70 different species of animals that they have there and just highlight some of the favorites.

The Giraffes! They currently have 9 giraffes, adults and babies.

Yes, that is my hand! Totally got slimed with his extra long tongue!!!!

Then there was the ostrich- we did not feed him!

The zebras! So beautiful

The rhinos- they smell horrible

The cheetahs! Fossil Rim is one of the few places that successfully breeds cheetahs. The day that we went was their "treat" day and they were feasting on deer legs. Awesome- that was a great conversation with the girls.

After the tour we went to the petting zoo. The girls loved feeding the goats.

Look I am almost as tall as a zebra!

I am a little bit tall than a zebra!

Fossil Rim was an amazing place, the animals, the guides, the land (which makes you feel like you are actually in Africa), seeing the animals roam free and interact (for the most part). It was a great experience!

Dinosaur World

Dinosaur World here we come! Tuesday the girls and I loaded up and on the road to meet Grams, Aunt Jennifer, and Avery in Glen Rose for a two day vaca!

Our first stop was Dinosaur World. It has over 150 life size dinosaurs!

Got our map and ready to go

Kendall

My favorite the Brontosaurus

Taylor and me!

The whole gang!

After walking the dinosaur trail and seeing and learning about the dinosaurs we got to do a fossil dig!

The kids got a sifter and a collection box. They got to dig for about 10 minutes and keep their favorite 3 fossils that they found.

We also toured the museum with fossils and played on the playground.

Inner Space Caverns

Monday we headed to do a little cave exploding at Inner Space Caverns with some friends.

D, Taylor, Kendall, and A

Once we got down in the cave our guide told us about some of the bats that live there that they call "chicken nuggets" since they are so small and look like chicken nuggets. The kids had their eyes peeled looking for them.

It was really amazing that we were at one point 69 feet below the ground and the size of some of the rooms.

Some of them were huge and some really really small

Miss A and Kendall go to school together and Miss A has a twin Mr. D. Well Mr. D and Taylor play fantastically together. At one point Mr. D and Taylor walked hand in hand through the cave.

As well as Kendall and Miss A!

Some of rooms had different stones that have formed to look like objects from water dripping over time.

One of the favorites was the one that looked like a castle!

We had a great time exploring and learning with some great friends!

San Antonio

The rest of the weekend we filled every moment with family. It was awesome. We spent one night with my grandparents in Boerne who live on 9 acres. We took in Boerne market days on Saturday in the beautiful afternoon and then the girls played outside at my grandparents house for hours and got covered in dirt from head to toe, ate WAY to much food and had great time visiting with my grandparents. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures on Saturday.

Sunday, I had to bath the girls again because they spent ALL morning wondering around the property collecting rollie pollies, shells, and who knows what else.

Then we headed to my other grandparents house, my uncle and his family were in town from Arizona!

B.A., Amy, Shane, and Gavin

The girls always love going there because my younger cousins are there and usually always have someone to constantly play with and there is tons of space to run and play!

Taylor being silly on the swing

Kendall and Gavin

Kendall loved playing with him all afternoon!

My mom is the oldest of five kids so when the family gets together we are large in number and VERY loud! This is the first time in a year that all five kids have been together to so we decided to get some family pics.

My grandparents and ALL five kids

My grandparents with eight grand kids and three great grand kids!!!

Some of the men :)

After a busy fun filled weekend we headed home with two very exhausted little girls.

If You Give A PIg A Party!

To kick off Spring Break we started by heading to San Antonio for the weekend. We started off by going to the Magik Theatre and seeing If You Give A Pig A Party. I have talked about this place a few other times but this show was hilarlious! The girls and the adults laughed and totally enjoyed the play.

After the show with the pig

In the play some of the other characters from books series were in it. Of course Kendall loved the cat (from If You Give A Cat a Cupcake).

Random photo- This is a play washer and dryer at my moms house and Taylor said "Mommy look I can get in the washer". Goof Ball

Yeehaw Cowgirl!

Kendall had Rodeo Day at school on Friday to celebrate Texas Independence. So of course we had to dress like a cowgirl!

The day was filled with calf steering!

Water balloons tosses

Pictures, potato sack races, hay rides, stick pony races, crafts, and much more.

(sorry the picture in light)

If you ask Kendall what she wants to be right now her answer is "a cowgirl". I am not sure exactly why or where this come from but she had a blast today being a "cowgirl".

5th & 6th Birthday Pics!

A little while back Carly (our one and only family paparazzi), the girls and I headed downtown to take the girls birthday pictures. I wanted to do something a little different and this street had the prefect feel.

I let the girls pick their own outfits for the photo shoot (not that I would have a choice with Kendall). People are alway commenting our how much they look alike and asking "if they are twins" that I really wanted to show how extremely different and unique they both are. I can't say that I would have picked exactly what they did but I think they did a great job displaying the opposite personalities with their picks.

One of my favorites!

I think this picture pretty well sums up Kendall- girly! She is really into looking fancy, dressing up and posing for pictures right now.

Taylor-

This pictures shows Taylor personalities absolutely perfect! She is super laid back (most of the time), fun, has her own sense of style, and in her own little world!

Kendall- look out modeling world here I come :)

This could be my most favorite photo shoot EVER! I love the pictures and how well you can "see" the girls in them. Thanks Carly, we love you!
