Piercing and Sand!

Kendall has been wanting another cartilage piercing for a while and we finally went and got it.

Then we grabbed some dinner and made a Target run.

Saturday Taylor and I hit the road for Dallas for a sand volleyball tournament.

The same photographer was there, he does great pics.

She played with a new partner this weekend, Maddie

This girls loves her some hotel life!

Sunday morning we were ready for some more!

They finished third in the tournament!!

Exciting week!!

Monday we drove to Groesbeck to close on the lake property!! 

Ryan had this metal brand made for the barn that we are going to share.

For Christmas mom gave me four tickets to Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (one of my favorite books growing up) here in Austin.  We grabbed dinner first at Fixe.

It definitely had a new spin on the story but it was really good!

Saturday morning Taylor, Olivia, and I hit the road to Houston for a sand volleyball tournament.

They played 3 games on Saturday and did well.  That evening we had dinner and chilled at the hotel.

Sunday we were back bright and early in the morning for another 3 games. 

They had a professional photographer there taking pictures.

They had two different coaches there which was really nice and helpful.

Their team got 3rd place!

Loved watching these girls and seeing their progress!

Spring Break- Part 2

 Somehow Ann and I agreed to chaperone 18 kids to Port Arkansas for Spring Break.

The kids went down a bit earlier to hang at the beach since we couldn't get in the house till 4pm.

Could be one of my favorite pictures of K ever!!

One of the moms sent a MASSIVE pan of red beans and rice to feed the kids and over the next two days every bit of it got ate!

DINNER TIME- cooking for 18 is no small task

DAY TWO-

After we cooked dozens of eggs and even more bacon and got the kids off to the beach we went for a walk.

Then we found Taylor on the beach

of course a volleyball made its way down

That night a few other kids came over to hang and at one point I got on the speaker and thanked everyone for coming but it was time to leave!  #crowdcontrol

DAY THREE-

After another round of crazy amounts of food it was picture time.

On the beach there was about 3 or 4 other houses of kids all from Steiner that gathered.

There was volleyball, bags, frisbee, football, music, and LOTS of kids!

DAY FOUR-

After a few hours of some serious cleaning, sorting random articles of clothing, and loading all the cars up we called Spring Break 2022 a success and hit the road!

Super fun few days, this is an awesome group of kids.

Now for some sleep and some peace and quiet!
