First Encounter

The long awaited trip to go meet Miss Alison was finally here!

The girls and I drove to Boerne on Sunday to my grandparents house to meet her.

Wearing a bow of course!!!

Taylor could not wait to get her hands on her. I love the look on her face.

She was in heaven and really didn't want to give her back.

Next up was Kendall

My little mother hen was completely comfortable (she should be she plays with her babies almost everyday).

After lunch Uncle Joe took the girls out for a ride on the Mule and they saw the Christmas tree that my grandparents had put in a burn hole. This hole was about 5 feet deep. Well about 15 minutes later I was looking out the window checking on the girls who were just running around playing outside (almost makes me want to live on some land, almost) and this it was I saw.

Kendall and Taylor with the help of Avery had dragged this 6 FOOT tall tree out of the 5 foot hole and were now carrying it up to the house!

It was so funny to watch them man handle this tree and walk about 100 yards with it.

It was a great short visit with my grandparents, Mom, Jennifer, Joe, Avery, and Alison and the girls were happy they got to meet and hold their new cousin.

Baylor Basketball

Saturday we headed to Waco to take the girls to their first Baylor basketball game!

We of course made a pit stop at George's for some super yummy grub and then to the bookstore for some MORE Baylor gear!

Taylor and Kendall- future Baylor cheerleaders?

We had a great time even though we lost by 1 POINT!

The girls are already asking to go to another game!

Good thing we have college funds started!

Sleeping Beauty?

One of Taylor's friends brought an eye mask to the sleepover a few weeks ago and ever since then she can't stop talking about it. So the other day we walked into Target and they had some in the dollar bin (gotta love the dollar bins) so the girls each picked one out. That night I went upstairs before going to bed to check on them and this is what I found.

Sleeping Beauty?

Or is this Sleeping Beauty?

Every night since then they are worn them to bed!

Alison Briley

Alison Briley was born on Thursday, January 12th!

I took a top secret drive to San Antonio after dropping the girls off at school on Friday morning to go see her. The hospital where Jennifer delivered doesn't allow children under the age of 12 (unless you are a sibling) on the L&D floor. The girls were soooo not happy about not getting to go see her so I didn't tell them that I was going.

When I got there she was having her hearing tested so I had to wait the longest 3 or 4 minutes ever to hold her!

But then I totally hogged her for the next three hours. She is tiny! 6 pounds 13 ounces with the chubbiest little cheeks. She slept almost the whole time but I didn't mind I still held her.

Then she finally woke up!

Big sister, Avery, Daddy, and little Miss Alison

Congratulations Jenn, Joe, and Avery I so happy for yall!

On a side note!

On my way home I got a phone call from Ryan and all I could hear was crying in the background! The girls had asked him where I was (since I usually pick them up) and he told them. Needless to say they were not happy with me.

Taylor turns 6!!!

This is how my Friday at 5 started!!!

5 very excited little girls

Taylor had two friends that could not make it to her party and since she agreed to have her party early she asked if they could spend the night on her actual birthday. So of course I said yes but then Kendall asked if she could invite someone so she would have someone to play with. So course I said yes again. That means 5 girls!!! Let the good times begin...

Taylor had all kinds of ideas that she wanted to do with her friends, all of them were playing with stuff that we already had at our house, except shaving cream. At school they get shaving cream on their desk and get to practice writing their sight words and she LOVES it.

So we having a shaving cream party!!!

The girls had so much fun, they just played and played. Who know a $2 dollar of shaving cream could provide so much entertainment.

Miss Mi, Taylor, and Miss E

Daddy got it on the fun too!

Then by Taylor's request we had brownies

Next up was a movie with lots of pillows and blankets

The girls moved beds at least 10 times but then settled down and were asleep by 10.

The next morning the girls played and then we all went to have donuts and milk for breakfast. It was a lot of fun and I am sure the first of many more slumber parties in my future.

Sunday was Taylor's actually birthday (finally).

We opened presents!

A neon peace sign light from Mimi and Poppy.

We hung around the house, played and finished off the day with going to get mani's and pedi's.

Happy 6th Birthday to my sweet Taylor!

Alamo Bowl

Baylor made it to the Alamo Bowl this year against Washington!

So of course we had to go. We picked our good friends Jon and Paige up at the airport and headed downtown. We started by grabbing some lunch at Pat O'Briens and then went to do some (alot) tailgating.

Ryan, Jon, and a bunch of ex-football players.

After a long day of tailgating it was game time. Ryan was a ball of nerves. Jon and Ryan were the entertainment for our section with all their hooting and hollering during the game.

But we WON 67-56!

The trophy ceremony!

Jon, Paige, me, and Ryan after the game.

I can't wait till next season (yes, I said it, I am actually excited)!
