October Randoms

Ryan and I got to see this beautiful sunset one night at dinner.

Kendall and I got a visit in with A

We went to a friends house for dinner and fun

Kendall in the Halloween aisle at Wal-mart

As we were walking out of Wal-mart there was a cut out of Willie from Duck Dustiny and Taylor wanted her picture taken.  She just happened to be wearing cam..

Taylor has become interested in learning to play tennis, she took a few lessons here in the neighborhood and hopefully after the beginning of the year will start taking them regularly.

We went out with some friends one night for dinner and to The House of Torment.

Standing in line wondering why we agreed to this, it was scary.

The girls got to wear their costumes to dance one day.

Ryan and Taylor went to the Baylor v Iowa State game.

Halloween

Halloween morning!

After school we had a quick and easy pumpkin pizza before getting ready to go out.

Dressed and ready to go!

Oops forgot the sunglasses

Some of our friends down the street host a pre trick or treating get together in front of their house.

It is great because the kids get to visit and so do the adults.

Emma, Camille, Ella, and Kendall

Had to go collect some more of our friends and snap a picture.

Trick or treating was way different this year, the girls really wanted to go by themselves but I wasn't totally ready for that.  Our neighborhood is super safe but it gets crazy crowded on Halloween and its dark so I tried my best to follow but keep my distance on the golf cart.

We saw our neighbors and Weston loves him some Kendall.

After making the rounds and getting a TON of candy their sat down to take a look and inspect their loot!

Halloween Preparations

The girls love decorating for Halloween, it is not my favorite.  Skelly has become a tradition.  The girls get her all "dressed and propped" all by themselves.  This year she needed company so Tinny accompanied her.

Taylor had a hard time deciding want she wanted to be because she didn't want to wear a dress or skirt.  Almost all the girl costumes have dresses or skirts so she decided she wanted to be a race car driver.  I am pretty sure she has never seen a car race in her life but whatever floats her boat.  The day it arrived she couldn't wait to put it on.

Kendall knew right away that she wanted to be a poodle girl, easy!

Next up was carving pumpkins, this is Daddy's domain.  Kendall wanted to do most of the drawing and carving herself this year and was pretty good at it.  She decided on a pretty classic non-scary face.

Taylor on the other hand wanted to do a very intricate detailed pumpkin, she gave good effort but had lots of help from Daddy.

The finished products!

Pig Roast

Ryan has been talking about roasting a pig for forever so finally we planned to have a Pig Roast on an away game.  He borrowed a special grill from a friend that is made to roast pigs.  Who owes one of these?

Ordered a pig from the meat market

and convinced Jon (it didn't take much) to help B-b-que it up.

They were like kids in a candy store

This is finally product, I didn't get outside in time before they started carving it.  Pretty gross if you ask me but a lot of people said it was awesome.

We hung out with friends, played corn hole, and watched a lot of football.  While the million of kids that were here ran around like a bunch of crazies they are.

Fall Festival

Friday evening was the Fall Festival at the girls school.  We drove the golf cart there because parking in out of control crazy.  There is so much to do there all kinds of games, jump houses, food, cake walk, petting zoo, hamster balls, rock climbing, and on and on.

There was a faux pumpkin decoration contest also.  Taylor and Ryan worked on hers.  She filled out the form  and came up with the name all by herself.

She didn't win but did a great job!

These people wanted a ride home, I think not.  A little over the weight limit.

They were full of sugar

I didn't get any pictures of them doing activities since they go in opposite directions of each other and trying to find them in a crowd of 900 other kids in a hard task.  But they did come home with airbrush tattoos.

Baylor v West Virginia Game

Saturday Baylor played West Virginia and since Papa is a BIG West Virginia fan we came up and went with us.  We couldn't get enough tickets for the girls and Mama Edson to go :(  Mama Edson stayed back and played with the girls so I could go :)  Thanks Mama Edson!

Papa and me

Papa and I drove to West Virginia from San Antonio one year (I think I was nine or ten) and I got to see where he lived and grew up and meet a bunch of his family that still live there.  It was a great trip just the two of us.
