End of school!!!

Apparently they aren't to old for making slime...I still hate slime

Everynight after Kendall has been out or had friends over and comes home or everyone has left she comes outside and entertains Ryan and I.  She comes and tells what she did, funny stories, we all just chat about random things, and it truly is a special time.  After a bit she takes Marley and they go inside and go to bed together.

Kendall and her girlfriends have decided to make Thursdays their tennis day.
Cutesst bunch of tennis girls!

That evening they all come back and swam, showered and borrowed clothes
Guess we have a few Lackey shirts

Friday was the "official" last day of school even if they hadn't been in school since March 13th.
So in traditional last day of school style we loaded up and headed for coffee and pictures.  Only this year I didn't have to drop them off at school.

I love this tradition

Later that afternoon the middle school teachers were doing a parade through some of the neighborhoods to send off the 8th graders.

Last day of 9th & 8th grade

That evening Ryan and I got to go out on a date

Saturday Ryan and I went to Costco to stock up for the summer.
This picture is exactly why I don't go to there often....
Someone likes to buy EVERYTHING!

And Kendall went to Waco with the Buchanan's for a high school graduation of a cousin.

Getting on toes done to kick off SUMMER!!!

The Madison's & Memorial Day

The Madison's came in for a visit!

Love that these girls can not see each other for months and pick up right were they left off.

These two...

Sunday, we just hung out, grilled, swam, played cards, and caught up.

Monday, we had a lazy morning and then went over to the Lackeys

The kids swam their little hearts out

Always love our time together, never long enough.

Happy Memorial Day from all the ladies!

Alittle bit of this and that

This is a view I am not use too....

Sunday night tradition continues with family night watching The Last Dance

Taylor had a bunch of friends over- these kids keep busy swimming, eatting, playing basketball, spike ball, volleyball....you name it.  I love it because at least it keeps them off their phones for just a bit.

Tuesday, Ann & I took the kids on a hike.
We had never done this one before and it was a doozy!
Lots and lots and lots of step!
It was hot!
There was ALOT of complaining.
So we only made it about half way in.

Found a tree to take a rest on.
Then we took them eat so they would be happy again.

Later that afternoon, these two worked on their tan

and these two worked on their volleyball skills.

These shelves are right off the gameroom and were filled with kids books, movies, and pictures.
Taylor and I got up in the attic and went through some old boxes of Baylor memorabilia and got some of our favorites out to redo them.  It still needs some work and I need to order a few stands for things but happy with the way it looks so far.

This kid knows how to relax and it usually involves wearing a cowboy hat while doing it.

This is how Marley helps me work out

Friday was a BIG day!  We have been wanting to get new outdoor furniture for a while and our new set got delivered!!!

We love it!
It is so comfortable!
Now we wait for the new side tables to come in.

Friday we went to the Ausley's for dinner and ended up at the Millar's for some karaoke.
Ryan and Kristina stole the show, shocker, I know!

Saturday sent me this pic on Saturday.
I love that we live so close to the lake and get to enjoy it so much.

Celebrations and Adventures at the Ranch

The disco ball light came in, also part of their super simple plan.

Slowly, piece by piece the rooms were coming together.

Kendall hasn't slept in her bed since the beanbags arrived!
She turns the fan on high, closes the doors, pulls her weighed blanket up and she is OUT!
Marley has slept with her every night as well.

Wednesday I went to dinner with some girlfriends to celebrate Ann's birthday.

Felt so good to get dressed, put on makeup and do my hair and sit in a restaurant.

Had an amazing sunrise one morning.

Love having a running buddy!

After spending some time in the pool, these girls took over my bathroom for showers and masks.

Friday, we took off to Coleman, Texas for a night at the Lackey's ranch.

There is this amazing tree on their property

I shot my first gun!
WOW, it was loud and I missed my target every time.

Visited with the cows

We drove all over the property

got really, really, really dirty

peed in the fields, drank lots of White Claw, and laughed tilled my cheeks hurt

and had dinner with Kristina's parents at their house on the ranch.

Ended the evening with some karoke from Ryan and Kristina

Kristina went to the turn the water off Saturday morning and Black Widow spider had made herself at home.

Stopped at good old Dairy Queen for some lunch and this girl ordered herself three, yes you read that correct...three, burgers!!!

Thank you Lackeys for a great 24 hour get away!!

The girls stayed at the Lackey's for the night with their kids and nanny.
Looks like they had a good time playing "dress up"!

We were greeted in the driveway as we were just getting home by a bunch of teenagers coming over to hang out.

Celebrating the end of their freshman year!!
