Easter Weekend!

Saturday we woke up and went out to visit Papa and Mama Edson for alittle while. It was a beautiful day and the girls enjoyed running and playing outside at their house (the live on a couple of acres). Ryan and I had a great timing visiting with my grandparents. Usually when we go to their house a lot of the family is there so we and them get spread around but this time it was just us which was really nice.

Then we headed out to my another set of grandparents, Nanaw and Popeye, for a visit. Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Joe, and Avery joined us there for some fun. Amazingly the girls didn't have to take a bath or change clothes while we were there like usual but they had a great time running around.

Taylor decided that she could drive the mule (and was shockingly good at it) so we had to take a couple of rides around the property.

Then we headed back to Grams' house for egg dyeing!

Then we had birthday cake because it was Aunt Jennifer's birthday!

My favorite cookie cake!!!!

Easter Baskets

The Easter bunny brought the girls a snow cone machine!

Our good friends Miss A & Mr D have one at their house and the girls are obsessed with it every time they go over to play.

Posing for an Easter picture-
unfortunately I didn't get a family picture (I don't know how I let that happen, oh well)

Taylor on a mad dash for Easter eggs!
She was a hunting machine!

After church we met a lot of the family at the Menger Hotel downtown for brunch.

The girls in the telephone booths while we waited for everyone to show up

The sad things is that they didn't even know what the telephones were :(

I know we have alot of grandparents! The girls and us are well loved :)

To celebrate an amazing holiday with so much family was incredible.

Disney On Ice- Toy Story 3

Friday we headed to San Antonio to celebrate Easter but we kicked it off with Disney On Ice- Toy Story 3!!! Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Joe, and Avery join us for the show.

Taylor, Avery, and Kendall enjoying their snowcones!

Taylor is a HUGE fan of Toy Story 3, she currently has a Woody, Jessie, Buzz, Bullseye, and Slinky Dog that she keeps all right beside her bed. Remember she was Buzz Lightyear for Halloween also!

This was one of my favorite show that we have seen, it was done so well done and the "characters" and "costumes" were great.

Bulleyes

Ken and Barbie- they even did the scene where Ken "models" all his different outfits!
It was great :)

Mr & Mrs Potato Head, Hamm, Rex, and Slinky Dog

For some reason I didn't get a good picture or any of Woody but he was there.

Soccer Season Continues

South Japan!

Our weekend continue to revolve around soccer season. We wouldn't have it any other way. Taylor's team is doing well. The last two games have ended in one in a tie and another with a L but the kids and parents are having a great time learning lots about the game and good sportsmanship. After each game the kids line up to slap hands and say good game and the parents make a tunnel for the kids to run under (you can see the parents linning up in the background).

Here is Taylor doing a kick off.

I know this picture is far away (Kendall actually took it) but every time Taylor kicks the ball she puts her hands behind her head. I am not sure why but it is super cute.

Madison Invasion Take 2!

After Taylor's soccer game on Saturday (which ended in a tie) the Madison came back in town for a quick visit. That evening we headed out to the Oasis compound to try out one of the new restaurants on the lake, Uncle Billy's Brew and Que.

It had an amazing view of the lake and we grabbed a quick family picture.

Here is all five kids (who were really good at dinner!)

All the rock stars :)

Diva Dash

Diva Dash!! This Saturday I did the Diva Dash with Carly and 5 teacher friends from school. It was a described as a 3 mile "Women's Obstacle Adventure Run". I am not sure they advertised it correctly but it was a 3 mile run with some really minor obstacles along the way. But in the end it was a fun experience. Carly and I didn't stay with everyone on the run so at the end we couldn't get a group picture, I was in a hurry to get back to the other side of town to Taylor's soccer game.

Kendall's 1st Field Trip

Kendall's had her first field trip to Sweet Berry Farms last week. I was fortunate enough to be able to go along. We have been to Sweet Berry a few times but never during strawberry picking season so were super excited. Kendall also got to ride a SCHOOL BUS!!! I am not sure what she was more excited about going on the field trip or riding the bus.

Kendall's kinder class
(yes this is the best picture I got, not an easy task to get 20 kinder to cooperate)

When we got there they had a "farmer" assigned to each class to take them around and do activities with. Kendall's class had "Farmer Adam". The kids got to shoot strawberries in an air pump (I didn't get pics of this). Then they did a relay vegetable/fruit dig as a class. Then they learned about how beneficial ladybugs were strawberries. The ladybugs eat the aphids which are pests to strawberry plants. So they were each given one and got to go into the fields and released their ladybug.

Kendall getting her ladybug out

Then they got to plant their own bean plant to bring home to grow.

Then, it was finally time to pick some strawberries!

There are rows and rows and rows of strawberries. They smelled so yummy, I couldn't wait to get home to wash and eat them!

Kendall with all of our strawberries to take home!

(one of her classmates took this picture- not to bad)

We had a great time and learned lots. Can't wait to do again next year with my Tator.

You better run and hide!

Sunday after church we stopped at the good old Home Depot to pick up a few things. Some of our plants in the backyard didn't make the freezes this winter so we needed to replace them.

Ryan had two good helpers while working in the yard. Soon watering the new plants turned into this......

Then it was all out war with the water hose.

This is our new form of discipline!

JUST KIDDING

The squealing, shrieking, yelling, and laughing is fabulous. You can't help but smile and laugh along.

Then of course Daddy couldn't be out done so he posed for a picture!

HA HA! Good times!

Soccer Season!

Soccer season is in full swing in our life and neighborhood!

Taylor is playing on a new team this year (we were hoping to get on our same team as last year but it didn't happen) South Japan.

We had a first game last weekend and she did great playing. We came away with a win (but that doesn't matter of course, wink wink).

This Saturday we had game 2 and she SCORED her first goal for the season!!!! She was so proud and so were we. T

After game huddle!

This year things are a bit more competitive and skill level is definitely getting higher. We have some really good players on our team and Ryan and I are enjoying getting to know the other parents and players during practice and at games.
