Tuesday we woke up, had breakfast, and then took the dingy to the island.
We toured Callwood Rum Distillery, one of the oldest continuously operating pot distillery in the Carribean.
It is like stepping back in time, this is how they heat the pots to boil the sugar cane.
This machine strips the cane and smashes it down
Sugar cane
After touring and tasting the four different kinds we walked down the beach and saw some local kids taking swim lessons.
we stopped to have a drink before we got back on the boat
Captain Tom makes a really good spicy marg
We sailed to Scrub Island (Virgin Gorda). We swam at Scrub Island resort and then hung on the boat and swam.
Then we headed to Bitter End (Virgin Gorda)
we had dinner reservations
at Saba Rock- the only thing on the island is this restaurant
The bar up top
dinner was delicious and super fresh
This was right outside the restaurant
We took the dingy back to the boat and slept in the marina at Bitter End Yacht Club for the night.
