Hawaii!!!

Saturday the girls and I loaded up for a long day of traveling!  We flew from here to LAX and from there to Honolulu.  I have to say the girls were really good on the flights.  I was Alysha, my cousin, who lives  there meet us at the airport.  My Mom, Jennifer, Avery and Alison arrived about 30 minutes after us.

In true Hawaiian fashion she greeted us with leis.

We stayed at the Hale Kona Hotel (but is just like a resort) which is for military only.  Thanks Joe!

The next day we were ready to go.

Our first stop was North Shore, to check out the sea turtles and the waves!

The water was beautiful.

Playing in the sand

Alysha leading the way in hopes of seeing the sea turtles.

Taylor wadding out to see them.

Unfortunately, the sea turtles were in the water and not on land but we still got to watch them swimming and playing in the waves.

Next stop was Waimea Beach.

The girls were dying to go swimming so we stopped for a little impromptu swim.

The girls had a blast running around and jumping in the waves.

This beach is popular for the locals to climb and jump off this rock.  It was fun to watch.

Nothing beats being buried in the sand,

Kendall making a sand caterpillar,

Avery relaxing,

and Alysha and Mom catching up and catching some rays!

The waves were really big, it's consider "winter" there which bring some good size waves.
The girls got taken out a few times :)

I could have sat here all day watching them play but I didn't have a cabana boy bring me drinks so we had to go.

Just kidding, kind of!

It was time for lunch so we headed to a food trailer park to grab some famous Giovanni's shrimp, they offer you 3 choices and that's it.

LUNCH!

You could smell the garlic when you got out of the car and I might have smelled like it for the entire trip because of this one meal but it was totally worth it.  Super delicious.

They let anyone and everyone sign the food truck, if you can find a spot!

Avery's autograph

The girls grabbed hamburgers at one of the other trailers and that is where we were introduced to these!  They are the best chips ever and eaten on a daily basis while there.  Disclaimer,  I usually only buy baked chips so all the really fatty stuff might have made them taste better but I will just keep with they are the best chips ever.

After a busy morning we headed back to relax.

Check out this really cool tree on the hotel property.

We stayed in Waikiki, 3 beaches in one day!

The girls being silly

I got to hang out with Ms Alison while the girls played.

Grams snapped this picture of Kendall and Taylor talking out in the ocean and I love it!

To cap off the day we had a cocktail!

Cheers to a great first day in Hawaii!
