SEATTLE Day 1

Seattle bound super early this morning!

In true Seattle fashion it was raining, cold, and gloomy.

We rented a car with Taylor and her mom for the weekend to be able to get around plus we were staying in Belluve just outside of Seattle.  We flew in early on Wednesday so we could have lots of time to explore since none of us had ever been here.  We were all starving so our first stop was The Crab Pot for lunch.

Might as well look the part...

Seafood galore!

Then we took off walking

to the Pike's Place

The famous Fish Market

The fresh fruits and veggies smelled and looked amazing.  We actually purchased some to keep in the hotel for breakfast and snacks.

The market buzzed with all different kinds of shops, music, and people.

The Gum Wall!!!
Apparently they has to scrape the wall a few months back because they were getting so heavy sheets of gum were falling off, barf!

There is gum EVERYWHERE...every color, size, and shape.

It was actaully really gross and really cool at the same time.

Then we did some souvenir shopping.

Next stop was Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room

It is huge and smells amazing!

You can take a self-guided tour and see step by step how they take the beans, roast them, and bag them for selling all right here.

This machine would roast the beans and them dump them all out in the spin thing (super technical term I know).

They had a massive menu of drinks

After enjoying our drinks we drove to find Meredith Grey's house from Grey's Anatomy.
We found it but sadly it didn't really look like it did on the show and they had planted a ton of landscape to give the house privacy.  There was a park right down the street with the most magnificent views of downtown Seattle.

Such fun day of exploring, we were both ready to shower and relax.
