Philly Day 2 & 3

Taylor's team had the PM wave so we slept in and then headed to try ourselves the famous Philly Cheesesteak!  The cherry blossoms were so beautiful that lined some of the streets.

Pat's was recommended to us- it was FREEZING and windy outside today.

Didn't love it, actually I didn't like it at all.  Who puts chez whiz on a sandwich, gross!

We had other plans but the weather and our lack of correct clothing canceled those.
We headed to the Reading Terminal Market to check it out.

It is HUGE!  Rows and rows of ever imaginable kind of food you could think of.

And handmade jewerly- friendship braclets!

Taylor and I hit up the pickle bar!

Donuts with the craziest toppings

and fresh fruit and vegetables stands.

We headed back to the hotel to let the girls rest and get ready to walk over to the convention center.

They had SUPER strict guidelines.  Everyone (players, coaches, and the one spectator per athlete) all had to have a negative Covid test to get in.  The courts were way spread out, there were no chairs or blechers to sit on.  The parents had to be the side line refs and keep the score book.  It was wild!

The girls played great!

Most restaurants would only allow four people at a table or take out only so team dinner in the hallway it was.

We could see Philadelphia City Hall from the hotel hall window, it was gorgeous all lite up at night.

Day 2 of the tournament-
Team Talk

Callie and Taylor

They had to play a crossover match that evening so we did team lunch in the hotel lobby!

They lost their crossover match :(  so playing for 1st in the Silver Bracket tomorrow!

Long day of fun and games, we were off to bed!
